Hawaiian Pule or Hawaiian Prayer was inspired from a pre-show journey down to the sacred Waipi’o Valley on the Big Island of Hawai’i. After spending the afternoon in the valley and on the black sand beach, this Pule came forth to start our second set at the Big Island Brewhaus in Waimea. With the sacred Mauna Kea behind us, I sang a prayer of gratitude and protection for the sacred spaces of Hawai’i. The second part of the Pule was developed from the feeling of finding out President Donald Trump was elected president of the United States of America.

The third part of the Pule is a partial cover of the song ‘Green Mountain State’ by Trevor Hall.

I stand with the peaceful protestors who are practicing Kapu Aloha on Mauna Kea & with indigenous peoples around the world who are fighting to protect their sacred lands.
